Omega-3s do not improve the condition of people with heart disease

– Omega-3 fatty acids are widely known as ingredients that can make the heart healthier. So, does this mean that this content can help people with heart disease and stroke be healthier? In fact, omega-3 does not cure heart disease.
According to one study, omega-3 fatty acids do not have a significant effect on people with this dangerous disease. They also have a high risk of death due to their health conditions.
This fact was revealed from a study conducted at the Norwich Medical School of the University of East Anglia . Lee Hooper along with his colleagues involved 112,059 participants who were asked to do 79 randomized trials to find out how the effects of omega-3 fatty acid supplements that are considered capable of providing benefits include lowering triglyceride levels in the blood.
Through this, the fact is that omega-3 fatty acids can also provide side effects in the form of decreasing levels of good cholesterol or HDL.
In the study, the results of which were later published in the journal Cochrane Library , mentioned that Hooper conducted randomized trials for participants for one to six years.
The result is, consuming canola oil or nuts that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids can prevent arrhythmias or heart rate irregularities even though the effects tend to be very small and not felt.
This indicates that the content of omega-3 fatty acids does not have a significant effect on those who are at risk of dying from heart disease, heart attack and stroke.
“In reality, omega-3 fatty acids can indeed reduce triglyceride levels. This understanding makes many doctors give this supplement to people with heart disease and stroke and these patients will continue to take it. They believe that this supplement can prevent premature death or even cure the disease. “In fact, the effect isn’t that great,” Hooper said.
Seeing this fact, people with heart disease and stroke can not only rely on omega-3 fatty acid supplements and must really change their lifestyles to be healthier if they do not want to get premature death.
